On a day where you would not even put your milk bottle out, the Star conceded four goals without reply, it certainly wasn't for the lack of trying or lack of effort, as they matched last years 1st division Champions, Letham's quality in the final third made them worthy winners. Rory had two chances in the first half hitting the side netting with one effort, and a one on one with the goalie which went agonising wide. At half time Ian came on as a sweeper and did a tremendous job of shifting some of the water of the park, his technique with the brush was well noted. As conditions worsened the game was turning into a comedy show at times, but credit to both sets of players and the referee for seeing the game out. Manager Ian said, beaten by a better side, it was good to witness a side who comes up to play football, and not to whinge at the ref at every decision, a clean game[ try telling that to big Dunc who was the unfortunate player taken the strips home]. Ref was excellent but made a bad decision on not abandoning it at 4 0 =)
